Saul was ever so passionate About pleasing the Lord his way And all that he thought was so right Was in fact not the Divine Way.
Christ wasn’t the Truth he believed in ‘Down with the Church’ was his goal No Jew was to change to Christian The price was his life by the stone.
While on to Damascus, as Saul went The Spirit of Jesus him followed Blinding his eyes and intellect To change his life inside out.
This small man who so great in power Among the Jews was now clothed In robes of grace by the Spirit And lived for Jesus alone
That day while on to Damascus The man that was once known as Saul Renewed his life in God’s presence Became the ‘live-for-Christ’ Paul.
Change me O Lord with your presence Shelter me within your grace Transform my life with your Spirit As with Paul, my blindness You change.

Have we seen the light? Are we led by the light? Or, do we recognize the light?
Praise God for Jesus, the light that shines in the world, through all the gloom, darkness, sadness and weariness of struggles. Through Him everything becomes bright, radiant, upbeat and jubilant. Take heart, and do not let the darkness of this world darken your disposition. The light is free for all who want to see.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
(John 8:12)
This is great! But your writing is always great!
ReplyDeleteThank you Angela :)
DeleteI love talk about the light. It makes everything so much clearer.
ReplyDeleteI need the light. My one true light. My one true love. Jesus.
It can be so dark along our walk in life. As SOON as we follow the light it gets better. I am praying for the lost tonight. I pray they see the light in us. In Jesus' Name. AMEN.
Love,
Lori
I like your prayer - "I pray they see the light in us".
DeleteMost often we forget that we have to first reflect the light in order for others to see it in us. And like you say, its all gets better once we follow the light. Thanks for commenting and for your continued support, Lori. I appreciate it.
I love this Mandy. When we "see the light", we are never ever the same. You can tell when someone has really seen it and really met Jesus. This one made me cry. :)
ReplyDeleteAngela that is a beautiful response to my poetry. I love your sharing of "we are never ever the same". So true. Once the light is there in us it can never be put out, however much we try to run from it: even to the ends of the earth. No matter where we go this light will always direct, lead, uncover hidden traps along the way... and brighten the path for others too. It's truly something special.
DeleteThis was a great post Mandy. My conversion was much the same, only I was much more stubborn and not ready to witness for the Light, Jesus Christ. Now I am completely surrendered to Him. Thank you for such an encouraging post on Saul. Bless You Amanda!
ReplyDeleteIt is so great to see you around again, John. When you say that you were much more stubborn - it shows that you are unique in your own way. How you got to where you are is not as important as where you are now in your walk with the Lord. The exciting part is the fruits of the Spirit that we ultimately reflect when we have the light in us.
